hope, meaning and purpose to life.
“Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen;
He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.”
Easter is a special time in the life of every Christian. We gather in church with our families to celebrate new life and rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter brings hope, meaning and purpose to life. It also reminds us of the sacrificial love that Jesus has for all of us.
Through your support, you have helped to show the same kind of sacrificial love to our children. You’ve helped children like Caleb, an eighth grade boy who had to be removed from his home because of abuse. When he arrived at the Children’s Home, Caleb felt alone and out-of-place. He had never really been to church, and didn’t feel like he had much faith in anything.
Recently, our Spiritual Life group took a mission trip to South Florida. Caleb, not sure what to expect, went along with other youth from the Children’s Home. As part of this trip, they worked in a food pantry that helped the homeless. It was on this trip that Caleb came to realize that he could be a help to others. He also began praying regularly. Caleb told Rev. Madeline recently, “since I began praying every night after the mission trip, I sleep really great!” This is the kind of impact you are having on a young life.
As you celebrate Easter with your family and loved ones, please remember the young people at the Children’s Home like Caleb. Your special Easter gift will help show these children the love of Jesus Christ made real through His church. Thank you for helping to bring new life and hope
