hope, meaning and purpose to life.
“Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen;
He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.”
Easter is a special time in the life of every Christian. We gather in church with our families to celebrate new life and rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter brings hope, meaning and purpose to life. It also reminds us of the sacrificial love that Jesus has for all of us.
Through your support, you have helped to show the same kind of sacrificial love to our children. You’ve helped children like Jennifer, a teenage girl who was recently placed in our care by her mother due to conflict Jennifer was having with her new husband. As you can imagine, Jennifer felt a little lost and unloved when she came to us.
Through participation in our Spiritual Life program, she has come to recognize the love that God has for her and realizes that God has a plan for her despite the trouble that brought her to the Children’s Home. At this time, she is doing very well academically, and is planning to take on a part-time job as well. Jennifer is also on track to graduate from high school early, and may participate in dual enrollment as she begins college. She hopes to one day become either an oceanographer or a video game developer, but she’s just not sure yet.
As you celebrate Easter with your family and loved ones, please remember the young people at the Children’s Home like Jennifer. Your special Easter gift will help show these children the love of Jesus Christ made real through His church. Thank you for helping to bring new life and hope.
