Children’s Home Opens Resale Shop

in Orange City

The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home (FUMCH) has opened a new thrift store, called the Heart & Home Resale Shop, in a bustling section of Orange City at 2460A South Volusia Avenue in the Four Townes Shopping Center, Orange City.

This location offers shoppers 10,000 square feet of multi-faceted retail space— which allows ample room to showcase the quality of goods at a centralized location. The location offers easy access with plenty of parking, and a drive thru donation area, making the store fully accessible to shoppers and donors.

The west side of Volusia County gained an exciting new choice for shoppers wishing to purchase high quality goods on an increasingly tight budget; all while helping children and youth in the local community.

The Heart & Home Resale Shop is guaranteed to be extraordinary, unlike those old familiar thrift stores. “We have something for everyone, from vintage treasures to the most current fashion trends… from the unique and unusual to everyday necessities, such as clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, household items, sporting goods, furniture and much, much more.” said Jennifer Lichtenwald, FUMCH’s Director of Support Services.

The Resale Shop will graciously accept new and gently used items, and will also provide no-cost pick up of items in Volusia and Seminole Counties. The Resale Shop will not accept paint, pesticides, household chemicals, mattresses and any recalled items. Proceeds from sales will provide substantial financial support to the mission of the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home.
